Before joining our team Ian worked with several chiropracters. He is a 2004 graduate of CCMT. He is a true professional and very informative when it comes to your massage therapy needs. He specializes in Deep Tissue Sports Massage, Swedish Massage, Therapeutic Massage and truly loves what he does.

Sue graduated from CCMT in 1994. She has a wide range of experience in the massage field. She has been a private contractor for DMR and worked providing massage in group homes. She has worked with Physical Therapists and Chiropractors, worked in 2 hospitals integrative medicine programs and in hospice program providing in home massage therapy for patients. She has studied Sports Massage with Martha Griffin. Has taken a Massage Tereapy fo Cancer Patients course with Tracy Walton. Sue is a Level 1 CranioSacral practitioner, and a Level 2 Reiki practioner. Sue approaches massage by using all that she has learned to meet her client's needs. She has good intuition and incorporates this with her knowledge to enhance the Body, Mind and Spirit balance in her clients she is working with.

Tara is a 2010 graduate from the Connecticut Center of Massage Therapy and is an active professional member of the American Massage Therapy Association. She has worked with a very diverse clientele, including professional golfers, stay-at-home moms, retirees, college students, and physicians, to name a few. Tara has gained additional skill sets and understanding of the soft tissue and musculoskeletal system from continuing education and research, in addition to assistance from Osteopathic medical specialists Dr. William Garrity D, DO. “Seeing people feel better is incredibly rewarding and truly a honor. I'm endlessly fascinated by the body's design, its function, systems, and built in repairing abilities. My approach is to assist these, and address your specific therapeutic needs whether it means helping you restore function to soft tissue, find relief from pain or tension, or simply help you achieve relaxation."

Stephanie attended the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy and is highly skilled in Swedish, Therapeutic, and Deep Tissue massage. Other services Stephanie offers are Body Treatments, Hot Stone Massage, and Prenatal Massage. Stephanie studied Mother-To-Be Massage under Elaine Stillerman, a pioneer in developing safe yet effective prenatal massage techniques in the state of Connecticut, which sets her apart in that she is highly trained at prenatal massage. Stephanie's education allows her to provide a massage style that incorporates a variety of techniques, making your massage with her one of a kind. “I love introducing people to massage. It's very important to make sure my clients feel as comfortable and safe as possible. Trying new things can always be intimidating, however, this is a safe space for healing, and it's an honor for me to be a part of my clients healing journey."

Rachael Marie, a Connecticut native and nature enthusiast, is a graduate of the Connecticut Center for Massage Therapy. The aspiration to become a massage therapist came from Rachael Marie's strong desire to heal people both internally and externally. Rachael Marie specializes in Depp Tissue Massage, Hot Stone Massage, and Accupressure Massage. In addition, she is certified in Ashiatsu and Thai Herbal Compress Massage. "I don't believe in making pain when people are experiencing discomfort. I help my clients in a way that allows their bodies to heal naturally."

Cheryl has been a massage therapist and holistic health educator for 40 years. She first received training as a massage therapist in Europe and the Middle East before practicing in the United States. Along with standard Swedish, Therapeutic and Deep Tissue massage, Cheryl is also trained in Thai, Assisted Stretch, Slow Massage, Reflexolgy, Gua Sha, Hot Stone, Ayurvedic Massage and Rehabilitation Massage.

Cheryl holds a Associate's Degree in Massage Therapy and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Alternative Medicine. She enjoys traveling to different countries to research and experience indigenous healing methods to incorporate into her massage practices.

Colleen has been in the profession as a stylist for 32 years. She has been with us at The Somers Day Spa & Salon for 11 years. She is an incredible colorist with a Goldwell Certification since 2005. Colleen specializes in corrective color and educating clients on their hair products to achieve beautiful healthy hair. During her career she has becone a Master Stylist. Among other accomplishments, she also has attended KMS cutting/styling seminars and is accomplished with Moroccan Oil updo and L'anza classes. She is highly regarded as one of the most professional in her field.

Shania earned her Cosmetology license from Marinello School of Beauty in 2015, with extensive training with Wella, Schwarzkopf Pravana, Rebecca Taylor Hair, Hattori Hanzo, and Bescene Studios. Along with being a hair stylist and color specialist, Shania is also trained in Lash Extensions. Being an arbiter of fashion, Shania's inspiration to enter the beauty industry stemmed from her love and passion for chic art. Shania specializes in Balayage, in addition to other color melting techniques and vivids. Other services Shania offers are special occasion styles, hair cuts & styles, and Brazilian Blowout.

Gwen joined the Somers Day Spa & Salon team in 2008, and has over 20 years experience in the cosmetology field. She is a Goldwell Certified Master Colorist, and Great Lengths Certified for application of hair extensions. She specializes in coloring, cutting, blowdrying and extensions. Continual education is a must in this field, which is why the stylists here take several classes every year to keep up to date with the latest trends. She loves what she does, and truly loves coming to work everyday.

Chrissy is a 2008 graduate of the New England Center of Cosmetology and Esthetics, and is well versed in products such as Paul Mitchell, Wella Redken, Goldwell, and Morroccanoil. One of Chrissy's favorite aspects of the beauty industry is hair color and cuts, as she truly enjoys customizing each client's look with color and design. In addition to providing a multitude of hair services, Chrissy is highly trained in makeup applications, which include Jane Iredale mineral makeup and Temptu airbrush makeup applications for a more flawless look. Chrissy gets great pleasure out of getting to utilize her creativity to help her clients look and feel their best, her enthusiasm and energy are admired with each salon visit.

Katie has been with our team for 7 years, but in the business for 12 years and her calm demeanor will have you feeling extremely relaxed during any of her services she provides, including facials, waxing, tinting, peels, dermasweeps and spray tanning. She is a true team player and very informative with all of our product lines we offer for your skin care needs.

Alesha joined our team in 2014, she has been an aesthician for the past 10 years. She has a very upbeat personality and truly loves what she does, and it shows in her facials, waxing and tinting services. She makes her clients feel very special and is always interested in any of the latest education in her field.

Dani, a graduate of Jolie Hair & Beauty Academy, has has an interest in skincare since she was a teenager, who struggled with acne. In addition to being certified in microdermabrasion, chemical peels, and hot stone facials, Dani's esthetics experience also includes facials, waxing, and makeup application. Dani is always looking to expand her knowledge with the latest trends in the skincare and beauty industry. "I have a deep passion for helping both men & women, helping them feel confident and happy in their own skin, along with providing a relaxing and stress free time for themselves."

Brandie is one of the sweetest girls you will ever have the pleasure of doing any of your nail services with. She has been in the business for 15 years and always has a smile on her face and will make you feel special every time you visit the spa. She is a perfectionist and will always have you leaving feeling great!

Liz has brought her studies of studio art and passion for creativity into
